Spider Party Halloween Recipes

It's time to feed all those ravenous arachnids some excellent spider party Halloween recipes that you've prepared. Just serve up these spiderlicious foods throughout the evening and you'll have some very happy guests.

Spider Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 chocolate wafer cookies
  • Chocolate frosting
  • 2 Mini chocolate M&M's or small round candies
  • Black string licorice

Directions:

1. Spread the frosting on one cookie.


2. Cut the string licorice into 8 - 2" long pieces. Place along the edge of the frosting on the cookie - 4 per "side".

3. Place the other cookie wafer on top.

4. Spread with frosting. Add M&M's or candies for eyes.

Spider Cookies - Version 2

This video shows you how to make a different sort of spider cookie recipe. It's a no bake cookie using only two ingredients and is a great activity for kids to do.



Daddy Long-Leg Cupcakes

Ingredients:

  • Chocolate cupcakes
  • Chocolate icing
  • Chocolate candy sprinkles
  • Small candies
  • Black string licorice

Directions:

1. Ice the cupcakes and add sprinkles to cover the icing.

2. Press in 2 candies for eyes.

3. Cut licorice strings long enough to reach the table when pressed into the "back" of the spider cupcake along the edges. Arrange your "spiders" on a platter.

Ritz Cheese Spiders

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of ritz crackers (or other round crackers)
  • 1 package cream cheese softened
  • 1 package Kraft cheese stings
  • Marachino cherries cut into small pieces

Directions:

1. Spread cream cheese on crackers.

2. Add two small pieces of cut marachino cherries for eyes.

3. Cut cheese strings to make 8 legs and push into the cream cheese.

Mexican Spider Web Dip

Ingredients:

  • Container of guacamole dip
  • Container of sour cream
  • Icing bag

Directions:

Fill the icing bag with sour cream and carefully "draw" a spider web on top of the guacamole dip. (You could do this with any colored dip.)
