Halloween Scrapbook Pages: Spider Theme

Come into my web said the spider to the fly. Capture your best Halloween photographs within this spider's silky webbing.

Please Note: This sample page layout is designed for an 8 1/2" X 11" sheet of scrapbook paper. The example below is NOT made to size, but just shown to give you an idea on how to put it together.

Please remember to spray all non-scrapbooking materials that are not labeled acid free, with a spray Acid Neutralizer or a similar product to help preserve your memories for a lifetime. Anything applied to your pages that are not acid-free will affect your photos and papers, and eventually deteriorate them.

Materials Needed:
    1 black 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock
    1 white 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock
    Black acid-free marker
    Template of a spider web
    Scrap pieces of purple, yellow and black cardstock
    Yellow lettering (use either alphabet stickers, cut out cardstock, or yellow markers)
    Spider sticker, rub-on or other type of spider embellishment
    Black glitter glue or glitter marker
Instructions:
    Trace or freehand draw a spider web on your white cardstock with a black marker, making sure you go right up to the edges. You may wish to add extra embellishment to this by using a glitter pen or tracing over some of the lines with the black glitter glue.

    Cut your white cardstock 1/4" smaller on all sides. Glue to the black cardstock backing.

    Cut out your photos to size and shape desired. Mat them with the following combinations (first color is glued to photo): yellow/purple, black/purple, black/yellow.

    Arrange your photos and glue in place.

    Add the following saying in yellow lettering:

    "Come into my web."
    Said the spider to the fly.


    Find a spot for your spider sticker or any other type of spider embellishment.
